Geoffrey Bishop, of Flagstaff Sports Massage, will be headed to Leadville, Colorado with a crew of therapists he has coordinated for the toughest mountain bike ride in the country! The 100-mile out-and-back course is in the midst of the Colorado Rockies. Low point, 9,200 feet; high point is Columbine Mine, 12,424 feet. Majority is on forest trails with some mountain roads. We will have no shortage of work on this one!
The group of therapists are all chosen for their talent in working with athletes, and knowledge of anatomy of the cyclist in particular. We know there are going to be some sore bodies, and we are ready to respect that parameter.
Riders, please be sure to get some recovery nutrition in before getting on the table to help reduce cramping, this will help to ensure a pleasant 🙂 experience for all.
